Privacy Policy

KinetiqLoop, an Ontario sole proprietorship ("KinetiqLoop", "we", "us", or "our"), provides the KinetiqLoop iOS application and the website at kinetiqloop.app (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

KinetiqLoop is a fitness and wellness app. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and should not be used to diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition.

2. Information we collect

Account and login data

• Name and email address.
• Password, stored as a salted hash when you use email sign-in. We do not store your plain-text password.
• Sign in with Apple or Google identifiers when you choose social sign-in (we do not receive your Apple or Google password).
• Authentication tokens used to keep you signed in.
• Profile photo you choose to upload (stored on our servers to display your avatar).

Fitness profile and onboarding data

• Fitness goal, fitness level, available workout minutes, and equipment preferences.
• Optional demographic fields you choose to provide, including gender, height, weight, and birth date.
• Profile choices such as avatar preferences and notification preferences stored on your device.

Workout, progress, and recovery data

• Completed workout sessions, workout/catalog identifiers, workout titles, timestamps, duration, perceived effort (RPE), total reps, and notes you enter.
• Weekly planner preferences, generated weekly schedules, planner session progress, program progress, workout history, consistency scores, fitness scores, and progress metrics.
• Visual Anatomy Intelligence data, including muscle load, recovery timelines, overloaded or undertrained muscle status, imbalance insights, and workout recommendations.
• Fitness Age and body readiness metrics (Premium), computed from your birth date, recent workout volume, planner context, and — when connected — Apple Health sleep, resting heart rate, and HRV summaries.
• On-device Apple Intelligence may personalize recovery coaching text on your iPhone. That generated coaching text is not uploaded to our servers.
• Custom workouts you create and exercise library sessions you log.
• Calorie estimates derived from your profile weight, workout duration, and exercise mix when those fields are available.
• Weight check-ins you log on Progress (value, unit, and date).
• If you enable Apple Health and use Premium recovery insights, we receive derived 7-day daily summaries for sleep duration, resting heart rate, and HRV. Raw HealthKit samples are not uploaded or stored on our servers.

Meals and energy balance (Premium)

• Meal descriptions you enter (food name, portion, preparation notes) and AI-estimated calories and macros.
• Daily energy-balance summaries (intake vs estimated burn) shown on Home and Progress.
• Meal thumbnail images resolved from a third-party food catalog on our servers — we do not upload photos of your meals.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

• On-device reads. With your permission, the app may read categories such as sleep, resting heart rate, HRV, workouts, active energy, and exercise time to power recovery cards and progress views on your device.
• On-device writes. With your permission, completed KinetiqLoop workouts and estimated active energy may be saved to Apple Health.
• Revocation. You can change Health permissions anytime in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings.

Support messages

• If you use the in-app support form, we receive your message, selected category, and app version and deliver them to our support inbox via email so we can respond.
• Support messages may remain in our email systems and provider logs for as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain support records.

Subscription and purchase data

• Subscription status, plan code, renewal date, Apple StoreKit transaction identifiers, and purchase records needed to unlock Premium access.
• We do not receive or store your credit card number. App Store purchases are handled by Apple.

Notifications

• Workout reminders, weekly progress reminders, program session reminders, meal-log reminders, Monday weigh-in reminders, today's-plan briefings, and Premium recovery-ready alerts are scheduled locally on your device.
• Recovery and planner-aware alerts may use backend recovery or planner data, then schedule local notifications on your device. We do not operate a push-notification server for these alerts in V1.

Analytics and diagnostics

• Usage analytics via Google Firebase Analytics (GA4) when you leave “Share usage analytics” enabled. Events include workout completion, paywall views, feature interactions, and similar product-usage signals.
• Short string event properties only (for example workout identifiers and plan codes). Analytics must not include your name, email, password, or raw free-form personal text.
• Firebase Crashlytics on physical devices for crash and error diagnostics tied to an anonymous numeric user id — not to your email.
• You can turn off usage analytics in the app under Profile > Privacy & Data > Share usage analytics. When off, Firebase Analytics collection is disabled for your device.

Promotional email

• When you create an account, you consent to receive promotional email from KinetiqLoop about product updates, tips, and offers at the email address on your account.
• You can opt out of promotional email anytime by emailing legal@kinetiqloop.app with the subject line “Unsubscribe from promotional email.” We process opt-out requests within 10 business days.
• Deleting your account also removes your email from our promotional mailing list.
• Account-related emails (password reset, support replies) are transactional and may still be sent when needed to operate your account.

3. Information we do not collect

• We do not collect raw Apple HealthKit samples or unrelated Health categories.
• When you start an outdoor workout on Apple Watch, KinetiqLoop may use GPS only during that workout to build a route for Apple Health and your workout summary. Route coordinates are not sent to ordinary analytics. We do not collect microphone, contacts, or calendar data.
• We do not collect photos of your meals or general photo-library access beyond the profile photo you choose to upload.
• We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
• We do not sell your personal information.

5. Service providers and sharing

We share information only when needed to operate the Service, comply with law, or protect rights and safety.

• Google (Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics). Product analytics and crash reporting for the iOS app. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Resend. Transactional email (password reset, support) and promotional campaigns to registered accounts.
• Apple. Apple handles App Store subscriptions, payment processing, refunds, and related purchase records. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Railway and database infrastructure. Our backend and database are hosted on Railway-managed infrastructure.
• Cloudflare. Cloudflare provides domain, DNS, email routing, and static website hosting for kinetiqloop.app.
• Support tools. If you email us, your message is processed by the email provider used for KinetiqLoop support.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect users and the Service.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

6. Retention

• Account, profile, workout, progress, and recovery data are kept while your account exists.
• Subscription and purchase records may be retained as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
• Analytics may be kept in aggregate or event form to understand and improve the Service.
• Support emails may be retained so we can respond and maintain a record of requests.

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app under Profile > Privacy & Data > Delete Account. Deletion is permanent. The backend deletes your user profile, plans, workout sessions, progress metrics, subscriptions, purchases, and affiliate-click records from active systems. Some information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or records we are legally required to keep.

Deleting your KinetiqLoop account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.

8. Your choices

• Update profile details in the app.
• Turn usage analytics on or off in Profile > Privacy & Data.
• Opt out of promotional email by emailing legal@kinetiqloop.app.
• Turn notification categories on or off in Profile > Notifications or in iOS Settings.
• Request access, correction, or deletion help by emailing legal@kinetiqloop.app.

9. Security

We use HTTPS, password hashing, token-based authentication, backend access controls, and provider security features to protect the Service. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a security incident that requires notice, we will notify affected users and authorities as required by applicable law.

10. International processing

KinetiqLoop is operated from Ontario, Canada. Our service providers may process or store information in Canada, the United States, or other countries where they operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws than where you live.

11. Children

KinetiqLoop is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us personal information, contact legal@kinetiqloop.app.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. If changes are material, we will provide notice in the app, by email, or by another reasonable method. The "Last updated" date shows when this page was last revised.
